"We're all different, but there's something kind of fantastic about that isn't there?" - Mr. Fox

Why your productive routine does(n't) work?

Hello all magical souls,

No article for a long time and whenever is a better start than in the pre-academic period. Many videos, articles, and guides on how to work smarter and not harder are released. However, the majority of people forget most of the time one important statement "this is my way of doing things, it doesn't have to work for all of you."

It could be called a lazy routine. You take the routine of someone else and just go with that. It works (with great luck), or it stops working in the most unlike situations. I tried throughout my school years several methods and if you crashed, here are a few inspirative words for you.

Tips for better focus, easier studying, or else can be helpful, but they're mainly for inspiration. No one is exactly the same, and our personality manages stress and tricky situation differently. When we watch a video of someone we look up to, we often put our needs aside.

In my older posts, You could see layouts inspired by Jusuf, which I managed to set according to my needs, but when I started with bullet journaling, the spread was just a copy of hers, and yes, it worked but only for a short time and not really effective.

So what should I do?

1. Try to think. What from your current productive system helping you? Is it the music, a place, or an essential? Don't throw all your routine away just because some part doesn't work.

2. Find the time when you are most productive. Just because someone said "it's the way, how our brains work" doesn't mean you're not allowed to pick a different time.

3. Make your routine more basic or complex according to your needs (but don't overwork yourself).

4. Try different routines. Don't stick just with one way and experiment. Don't be afraid of failure because this is part of the productive process, and if you find a system not working after some time, it's OK. We change through our carrier, which is only great. It's a sign we are evolving.

If you don't have any productive routine try one of these:

Pomodoro - 30-60 minutes work and 5-10 minutes break

All at once - for example, 4 hours straight. It may sound unrealistic but for programmers and math, in general, is the best option (because of short-term understanding)

Inspirational - working when you feel you want to do something but don't have motivation. Try to play Work/Study with Me videos or listen to Lofi Beats, and you will see if you feel more productive (better to use in combination with some other option)

Thank you for reading this more inspirational article, same as that essential statement. It's also a different view on how to make your routine better. There are always several paths from which we can choose, and I hope we will meet on the next one very soon. Stay safe and many successes with the new academic year.
