"We're all different, but there's something kind of fantastic about that isn't there?" - Mr. Fox

Pre-autumn

A part of the year between summer and autumn, when we can see little bits of the following season coming. I got introduced to this term by Ruby Granger in her video, and she was by her friend. Strangely, this word exists, but when you take a different view, you will understand why it does.

You see tomatoes, zucchini, pumpkins, and other beverages mature. Blueberries are popping all over the forest, and maybe some mushrooms if the rain comes; you can even see some leaves changing from forest green to deepish yellow. Important to note that these glimpses can pop out differently based on the area where you live. So how it has any connection with humans? The answer is the mood.

I like how the line: "We transition, we swim, we flicker between them." tells so much about how we're influenced by it. It's a rainy day when everything is washed away by a few raindrops. It's one day when I flick into a candle-season mood and another day finding myself back in the respective season. You probably experienced something similar and may not even know about it. We all have our favourites, and when the weather flicks, some of us will feel a slight change in the mood.

The pre-autumn isn't just an echo of summer slowly coming to an end. It's also a reminder to enjoy the weather, nature, friends and time that the sunny season offers. Of course, if you're the same leaves-loving fox as me, you'll also start preparations for the months full of colours and pumpkins.
